NagiSeries
NagiSeries is a series of small tools for personal websites: NagiSwipe shows pictures large, NagiManga lets people read your manga, and NagiLog posts text, pictures, manga, video and audio. None of them needs a database or an outside service: put them on your own site and they work.
The three tools#
NagiSwipe
Image popup gallery
- Load one JS and one CSS file, and the picture links on the page become a gallery
- Swipe, pinch zoom, double tap, captions
- Works with Tegalog through its admin settings alone
NagiManga
Manga viewer and admin panel
- Paste a single tag, and a click opens the manga viewer
- Right to left, spreads, vertical reading (paged manga / webtoon)
- Import from EPUB, password-protected releases, backups as one ZIP
NagiLog
Personal log (no database)
- Post text, pictures and manga to your own site, even from a phone
- Video and audio: a waveform player, gapless repeat, covers and loop points
- Categories, hashtags, search, six designs, RSS, content warnings
Which one to use?#
| You want to | Use | You need |
|---|---|---|
| Let people zoom the pictures of your blog or Tegalog comfortably, even on phones | NagiSwipe | Two files, JS and CSS (they can be loaded from jsDelivr) |
| Have people read manga on your own site | NagiManga | A server with PHP 8.1 or later. It can also be put up with FTP alone, without the admin panel |
| Post text, art, manga, video and audio to your own site casually | NagiLog | The same installation as NagiManga (nothing else to prepare) |
| Know whether you can keep using NagiManga | Guide | For non-developers: strengths and weaknesses, and how to take your data out |
How they fit together#
- NagiSwipe is a library that can be used on its own. NagiManga and NagiLog use it for zooming pictures too (it is included in the release ZIP).
- Installing NagiManga gives you the screen for managing works and the viewer for readers.
- NagiLog is part of NagiManga. In the same
nagimangafolder, with the same login, the public site of the log runs too.
Demos#
- NagiSwipe: image gallery demo (on this site)
- NagiManga: https://notebook.lichiphen.com/nagimanga/demo.html (the ways of reading, a password-protected sample, the admin panel as a guest)
- NagiLog: https://notebook.lichiphen.com/nagimanga/ (the log the author actually uses)
Get it#
- NagiSwipe: just paste the jsDelivr URLs. Getting started always has the URLs of the latest version.
- NagiManga and NagiLog: download the latest ZIP (
nagimanga-vX.Y.Z.zip) with the button below and upload it to your server. Both are in the same ZIP. The steps are in With the admin panel (PHP). - Source code: GitHub / GitLab (the same contents)
